Indian Plastics Federation is regarded as a Torch-bearer of plastics industry and trade. The Federation salutes the seven stalwarts of plastics industry - Late C L Gupta, Late G Khemani,Late B L Pachisia, Late C M Srimal, Late R G Gupta, Late G D Damani and Sri G N Periwal for their vision, wisdom and far sightedness for the establishment of the Federation way backin 1958. During the long span of over four decades, the Federation has been successful in its endeavour to be reckoned as one of the main forums of Plastics in India. Amongst the multi faceted activities of the Federation, the salient ones are :
- Interact between industry and the statutory authorities in the areas of taxes, duties, import and export policies, Raw material procurement and framing up industrial policy and such other fields as may crop up in the pursuit of business and to send delegations and representations in this regard.
- Providing aid to the entrepreneurs to set up and expand industry.
- Collect, preserve and analyse vital statistics and data relating to plastics trade, commerce and industry including national and international trends of the plastic industry.
- Disseminate information on advancement of plastics technology and innovations obtaining in India and abroad.
- Bring out monthly journal "Plastics India" with thoughtful articles for the development of the plastics industry in particular and nation in general.











The ninth meeting of the Executive Committee of the Indian Plastics Federation will be held on Tuesday, the 15th September 2009 at 4.30 p.m. in the Conference Hall of the Federation at 8B, Royd Street, Kolkata -700 016.
The year 2009 emabarks the Golden Jubilee year for IPF. Its like a festival to each one of us and we are looking forward to make this an embarking journey and more of a path of our success.
